The Contura 790T is clad in soapstone, which is a natural material that has excellent heat retaining properties.

The Contura 790T is available with a heat tank made of heat retaining powerstone. The heat tank is underneath the cladding, above the actual stove. Powerstone gives even heat distribution over a long period. With a closed damper the cooling down period is up to 15 hours.

Combustion air is heated to extremely high temperatures and flushed out onto the inside of the glass, which prevents soot build up and helps the glass stay clear.

Heating efficiency is increased by the stove’s cleanburn technology, activated by sliding the control on the front of the stove to the left. This releases pre-heated combustion air into the stove, which burns off excess hydrocarbons in the smoke. This also results in cleaner emissions.

The stove is available with either a steel door or stone door at the bottom of the stove. The main door can be self closing as an optional extra.
